This policy explains what personal information Standout Photos collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. The photo you upload is the most sensitive thing we handle, so we keep it for as little time as possible.

2. What we collect

• The photo you upload — an image of a face. This is sensitive personal information and we treat it accordingly.
• Your email address — so we can deliver your headshots and contact you about your order.
• Payment details — handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
• Limited technical data — needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

3. How we use it

We use your information to generate and deliver your AI headshots, take payment, provide support, and keep the service safe (including automated screening of uploads). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

To produce your headshots we send your uploaded photo to our AI image-generation provider and its underlying model providers, which may process it on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We also use Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (email), and Cloudflare (hosting and storage). We share only what is necessary and require these providers to protect your data.

5. How long we keep it

Your uploaded source photo is automatically deleted shortly after your order is processed, and in any case within about 24 hours. Your generated headshots are kept so you can download them, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

6. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing Email us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA), including to access, delete, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them and we will respond as required by law.

7. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

8. Children

Standout Photos is only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect images of children, and we screen uploads and reject images that appear to be of minors. If you believe a child’s image has been uploaded, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
